  • Park cleanup at Catalonga Park

    Upcoming Dates

    05/02/2015

    10:00 AM - 01:00 PM

The Charles River Conservancy is dedicated to the stewardship, renewal, and enhancement of the urban parklands along the Charles River, for the enjoyment of all. The Conservancy promotes the active use and vitality of the parklands, increases recreational and cultural opportunities, and works to ensure the beauty and integrity of this extraordinary public resource. Volunteers will be participating in a general park clean up consisting of picking up trash, weeding, and cutting back invasive species. This project will help the CRC with our mission of stewardship, renewal, and enhancement of the parklands along the Charles River. The project will not only benefit those who volunteer, but the community as a whole, as the work will enhance public green space for the enjoyment of all. No specific skills needed. Volunteers need to be willing to work outdoors and are asked to commit to the entire 3-hour shift. Volunteers need to dress appropriately, depending on the weather, in outdoor work clothing and footwear such as work boots or study shoes. No sandals please. Clothing will get dirty and possibly stained. Bring water in a reusable bottle if possible and a snack or lunch. Don’t forget to join us from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on May 2nd at the Arsenal Project for a kickoff breakfast and free T-shirt!
