    Upcoming Dates

    10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

As an Episcopal Church we experience Christ in our liturgy, in prayer, in our work for justice and peace, and in each other. We strengthen our faith and understanding through formation and community engagement. We take care of one another and our neighbors. We welcome you. Volunteers will: Prepare the gardens for Vacation Garden School such as weed, add amendments, and sow vegetable seeds, plant annuals and perennials. Hunt down and remove roots of Black Swallowwort an invasive vine near the gardens. Prepare gardens for children from Watertown, Newton, and Waltham to plant seeds and seedlings. This project will create a beautiful space for birds that uplifts all who pass by. Knowledge of identifying weeds a benefit, children who like to water seeds a plus. Children are welcome to volunteer with an adult. Consider bringing a watering can for your children to water seeds. Volunteers are asked to commit one hour minimum between 10 and 12 noon, best two hours. Wear clothes for getting dirty. Bring your own water bottles, shovel, rakes, weeding tools, hand pruners, plastic bucket to collect weeds, leaf bags and gardening gloves. Don’t forget to join us from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on May 2nd at the Arsenal Project for a kickoff breakfast and free T-shirt!
