Opportunity Description:

The Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee is a town committee with the mission of promoting safer roads, sidewalks, and paths to encourage multimodal transportation, recreation, exercise, and outdoor activity. The Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee will organize the clean up of the path that runs from Watertown Square to the Dealtry Memorial Pool on Pleasant Street. The project benefits the town by improving the path by cleaning up litter and obstacles. This will promote use of the path, which is a core mission of the Bike/Ped Committee. No skills needed, just enthusiasm! Volunteers are asked to commit a minimum of 1 hour. Children are welcome to volunteer with an adult. Meet at the granite pillar marking the head of the Blue Heron trail in Watertown Square, across from the bus station. Don’t forget to join us from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on May 2nd at the Arsenal Project for a kickoff breakfast and free T-shirt!
