    10:00 AM - 01:00 PM

HATCH is the new MakerSpace of the Watertown library. ReThink Plastic is an ad-hoc citizen’s group to reduce the use of single-use plastic in town. Volunteers will be making re-usable shopping bags to give to Watertown residents. Tasks will include cutting out patterns, applying logos and sewing bags. As Watertown phases out the use of single-use bags, residents will need re-usable shopping bags. This will publicize the effort as well as introduce people to HATCH. We need volunteers who know how to sew with a machine and how to cut out a pattern. Volunteers are asked to commit a minimum of 1-2 hours. Wear clothes you can get messy (paint). If you have a sewing machine, bring it. If you have good fabric for bags, donations are welcome. HATCH is located in The Arsenal Project at the Old Navy entrance between Pearle Vision and Game Stop.
