The Newton Mentoring Alliance

The Newton Mentoring Alliance matches male and female adult volunteer mentors (at least 20 years old) with Newton students in grades 6-12 as part of a yearlong program. All matches are same gender. Mentors commit to meeting twice a month or spending at least 6 hours a month with their mentee, engaging in recreational activities within the community. We'll train you and provide ongoing support through the entire match period. No experience necessary, just a sincere desire to help a young person and make a meaningful, lasting connection.

Mission: Our mission is to cultivate supportive mentoring relationships, between youth and adults, that empower youth to lead healthy, productive lives and engage adults as active participants in their community.
