Opportunity Description:

Windsor House is an adult day health center that cares for adults with various physical and cognitive disabilities. The purpose of this project is to start a “Traveling Group” with the adults who attend Windsor House. This will give our participants the chance to “travel” and get a sense of what life outside of the US is like. For some, they may have traveled to different countries and can share their stories and memories. Volunteers will research different countries, get facts about the country, population, popular foods, climate, etc., and will find high quality pictures of the countries. All sheets and research can be done from home if easier. All finished research can be emailed to Windsor House for printing if that is a concern. We also have computers on site if someone would like to come in M-F 8:30-4:30. Windsor House is closed on weekends. Volunteers must have basic Internet and Word skills. Don’t forget to join us from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on May 2nd at the Arsenal Project for a kickoff breakfast and free T-shirt!
