Sharing the Harvest Community Farm
Sharing the Harvest Community Farm is a nonprofit, hunger-relief farm located at the Dartmouth YMCA. Working together with the United Way Hunger Commission, Sharing the Harvest helps combat hunger by growing and donating our entire harvest to local emergency feeding programs and food pantries. Established in 2006, Sharing the Harvest is a volunteer-driven farm started as a grassroots effort to alleviate hunger at the local level. Sharing the Harvest Community Farm provides the perfect opportunity for people of all ages to learn about farming, participate in community building, and help hundreds of local families in need. Thank you to our volunteers! Thousands of children and families from Fall River to Wareham have received fresh vegetables because of your efforts. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Mission: Alleviate hunger for children, families and adults in need of food assistance by growing and distributing nutritional produce to food pantries, soup kitchens, and emergency feeding programs along the Southcoast of Massachusetts. Promote volunteerism and an awareness of hunger in our communities, while building community through neighbors helping neighbors. Teach volunteers about agriculture, nutrition, and good origination.
